Batavia RSVP, Inc. provides the following free programs:

  1. Medication Assistance Program (MAP):Click here to access MAP application.
    This program was started to help low income seniors with their prescription drug costs.  The program provides credits toward the cost of prescription drugs on the basis of need. Our income guidelines follow the guidelines of the Illinois Cares program.  To apply:
    • Print the MAP application from the link provided and mail the completed form to our office (address shown on form) or Call our office at 630-406-9993
  2. Meal Delivery: For information on how to enroll and receive delivery of meals through the Salvation Army Golden Diners program call our office at 630-406-993.. There is no income requirement for this program.
  3. Transportation: Transportation is one of the most popular programs.  Batavia RSVP, Inc. provides volunteers who drive seniors to businesses within or near the community.  This allows the senior to visit the doctor, dentist, grocery shop, receive dialysis, etc. There is no income requirement for this program.   4. Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors:Batavia RSVP, Inc. provides free smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to senior citizens. The installation is provided by Batavia RSVP, Inc. volunteers.  Replacement batteries are provided by Batavia RSVP, Inc. and installed by the Batavia Fire Department.  This is one of the programs jointly sponsored by Batavia RSVP, Inc. and the Batavia Fire Department.  There is no income requirement for this program.   5. Lock Boxes: Batavia RSVP, Inc. provides lock boxes for the outside of senior’s homes.  The installation of the lock box is done by the Home Assistance Volunteer Effort organization.  The lock box will contain a house key for the residence.  Each responding Fire Department vehicle has a master key for the lock box.  This allows emergency access to the home if needed. Batavia RSVP, Inc., Home Assistance Volunteer Effort and the Batavia Fire Department jointly sponsor this program.   There is no income requirement for this program. However, because the lock box is very expensive, we ask those who feel they could afford it, make a donation to help defray the cost. To enroll for this program call our office at 630-406-9993
  6. Info and Referral Services: Our office staff will answer questions and provide referrals for services and programs available through governmental, social services or community organizations.
