Lock Box Installation
Batavia RSVP, Inc. provides lock boxes to be installed on the outside of seniors’ homes. RSVP volunteers do the installation of the lock box. The lock box will contain a house key for the residence, which will allow emergency access to the home if needed as each responding Batavia Fire Department vehicle has a master key for the lock box.
Batavia RSVP, Inc. and the Batavia Fire Department jointly sponsor this program.
There is no income requirement for this program. However, because lock boxes are very expensive, we ask those who feel they could afford it, to make a donation to help defray the cost.

Especially needed are licensed drivers who are willing to provide transportation utilizing their own vehicles. Also needed are volunteers to staff the RSVP office, to implement the programs.
